Job Description 

Supply Chain Manager
•Manage reliable and stable short, medium and long term supply plans to ensure optimal stock positions and meeting market requirements taken into account capacity utilization, production efficiency, and components management 
•Optimize and Improve the responsiveness (lead times), reliability and stability of supplies to the markets 
•Minimize scrap risks and/or costs 

Responsibilities 

Position Specific Tasks 
•Manage short term and long term capacity planning activities and ensure appropriate communication/escalation to critical resource owners 
•Proactively assess inventory positions (IDP/LDP/FDP/Materials) and execute plans to drive to the targets 
•Manage towards a stable Supply Plan and identify root causes and corrective actions in case of deviations 
•Ensure timely completion of the Planning cycles 
•Develop and present scenario analyses to support decision making in the Supply Chain 
•Collaborate with Supply sites (e.g. AML) to ensure timely supply 
•Work closely with the Regional Organizations to ensure market supply 
•Work closely with Commercialization department to manage new product introductions/revisions and phase out of products 
•Identify scrap risks and take corrective/preventive actions to minimize abnormal scrap 
•Follow up and complete planning related Non Conformities (e.g. CAPA) 
•Review and update relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure SOP compliance 
•Determine target values for batch sizes and optimal production balances for all production lines 
•Lead or participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives using problem solving techniques (Operational Excellence, 6σ, LEAN) 
•Monitor KPI’s and define corrective and preventive actions 
•Define improvements or opportunities, on the basis of analysis and KPI’s, their impact on performance (benefits vs. cost) and prioritize associated initiatives

Qualifications The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge or the equivalent. 

Minimum Requirements Knowledge: 
• Bachelor/Master degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or Engineering 
• Fluent in English and Dutch, both oral and written communication Experience: 
• 2 – 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain and/or Operations 
• End-to-end Supply Chain Planning experience and knowledge 
• Experience in an international complex organization Competencies:

Preferred Requirements

• Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing tools (Lean / JIT / 6 Sigma / Design For Manufacturing / SPC / Rapid Tool Setting / FMEA / RCA) 
• Experience in pharmaceutical or similar environment 
• Experience in project management
